sixth sense - tool for neuro imaging?

I was just wondering to just use the same technology in imaging live samples or in particular the 3D complex brain structure can be imaged and the information from the brain can be extracted and analysed . I basically see a bright future to this technology in the field of imaging and doing quality research. Consider we have a sample being viewed we can easily analyse the sample immediately and see the quality of the research you have done and the imaging.
